Event Description

“Why is racial, social, and economic justice vital to New Jersey public schools?”

Join fellow members for a special viewing of the REAL documentary, created by the NJEA Human and Civil Rights & Governance Division. During a two-week, 21-county listening tour, they interviewed educators and friends of education to explore the question “Why is racial, social, and economic justice vital to New Jersey public schools?” This engaging documentary invites members to reflect upon our collective experiences and commit to advancing educational justice in all forms.

Following the documentary, we will be joined by our endorsed candidates in LD16 (Senator Andrew Zwicker, Assemblyman Roy Freiman and Mitchell Drulis) who will participate in a Q&A focused upon their efforts as legislators and candidates to protect academic freedom and support NJ public education.

This event is open to members and their families. All attendees will receive a $15 gift card to be used for concessions. Registration is required and seating is limited!
